GitMind supports adding automatic numbering and bullet lists to mind map nodes, helping you organize information in a clearer and more structured way. Numbering is useful for displaying sequences and hierarchical relationships, while bullet lists make it easier to present multiple points within a single node.
Insert Numbering
To add numbering to your mind map, select the node you want to number, then click the magic wand icon in the top toolbar to open the settings panel. Go to the ‘Style’ tab and find the ‘Numbering’ option.
Choose your preferred numbering style, and GitMind will apply it to the selected nodes.
Automatically Number Subnodes
You can also enable the option to automatically apply numbering to subnodes. Once enabled, any new subnodes created within the selected branch will automatically inherit the numbering style, keeping your mind map consistently organized without manual adjustments.
Automatic numbering is especially useful for creating structured outlines, project plans, work breakdown structures, and other hierarchical content.
Insert a Bullet List
To add a bullet list within a node, select the node and click the magic wand icon in the top toolbar. Open the ‘Text’ tab and find the ‘Bullet List’ option.
Choose your preferred bullet style to format the content within the selected node. Bullet lists help separate multiple points of information, making the content easier to read and understand.
This feature is particularly useful for organizing meeting notes, study materials, task details, and other information that contains multiple related points.
By combining automatic numbering and bullet lists, you can create more structured and readable mind maps, making it easier to organize complex information and present ideas clearly.
