Inserting tables into GitMind allows you to organize structured information directly within your mind map. Whether you’re creating project schedules, comparing data, or organizing detailed plans, tables make it easier to present information clearly. GitMind supports both manually creating tables and inserting tables from Markdown content.
Insert a Table
To insert a table, select the node where you want to add it. Click the ‘+’ button in the top toolbar and choose ‘Table’ from the dropdown menu.
Select the number of rows and columns you want to create. Once the table is inserted, you can click individual cells to enter or edit text. You can also use the basic table editing options to organize and update your content as needed.
Insert a Table Using Markdown
If you already have a table in Markdown format or prefer not to create one manually, GitMind provides a faster way to insert it.
Simply copy the Markdown table, select the node where you want to insert it, and paste the content directly into the node. GitMind will automatically recognize the Markdown table format and convert it into a table.
For example, you can copy and paste the following Markdown table:
| Task | Priority | Status ||------|----------|--------|| Research | High | Completed || Design | Medium | In Progress || Testing | Low | Pending |
This method is especially useful when transferring tables from Markdown documents, AI-generated content, or other tools that support Markdown formatting.
Inserting tables into mind map nodes is ideal for project management, study notes, task planning, data comparisons, and other scenarios that require structured information. By combining tables with mind maps, you can keep detailed data and visual ideas together in one place.
