The McKinsey 7s model is a tool that aims to improve organizational performance internally. This model was created from the theory that states that an organization will perform well if the 7S are all in their right place. The McKinsey 7s framework was introduced in the 1980s by Robert H. Waterman Jr. and Tom Peters. They are the business consultants responsible for the development of the “Management By Walking Around” motif. The S in the 7S stands for Strategy, Structure, System, Staff, Style, Skills and Shared Values. This framework states that these elements should all work together fine, in-order for the organization to function well.
